crossofcrimson 1 month, 2 weeks ago	I was listening to this (http://www.aynrand.org/site/PageServer?pagename=reg_ar_newfascism) last night and thought some people here might enjoy it. It's a lecture that Ayn Rand gave in 1965 entitled "The New Fascism: Rule by Consensus". I'm not in complete lock-step with Rand. I think she held a few dis-jointed ideas (particularly in her later life), but I'm a great admirer of her's nonetheless. She was a firebrand for pretty much any and every political movement in the 20th century that valued freedom. Particularly in the 50's and 60's she stood as an intellectual bulwark for the cause of liberty - and I often feel that modern political movements are remiss for not producing more philosophers of her caliber. Luckily for us, her hopes and fears seem even MORE relevant today than they did even in her time. Enjoy.
