A press release from lawyers filing a class action suit against GM for their IPO prospectus? Perhaps you should read the 'press release' before describing it. |

So, to sum, "GM is good at selling cars to the government, and no one else" has been 100% debunked. Wilkow's baseless claim that GMs huge success and industry leading sales numbers are due to the government buying their product has been shown to be complete nonsense. He knows it. Anyone reading this thread knows it. My argument CANNOT BE BROKEN (no, really... Go ahead and try....). LOL. |

Maybe you missed the articles mention of "channel stuffing"? Inventory management was supposed to be under control and was supposed to be part of the new GM; didnt happen. Keep squawking pretty bird...."Specifically, the Complaint alleges, in connection with the IPO, and in order to assuage concerns that GM was predicting revenue based on production rather than actual sales, GM falsely assured investors that it was actively managing its production by monitoring its dealer inventory levels. Additionally, GM assured investors that in 2011 it would improve inventory management, which would improve average transaction price." Sorry, but you really are slipping. Hanging out all by yourself on the Wilkow forum really has fattened you up. |

"In particular, an article published by Bloomberg on July 5, 2011 revealed that GM may have been unloading excessive inventory on dealers, a practice known as “channel stuffing,” in order to create the false impression that GM was recovering and sales and revenues were rising." |

Their inventory seems to be perfectly under control to anyone not invested in bashing GM. They have a decent inventory because they sell the most cars every day. You can argue with buzzwords like "channel stuffing" and quote unsettled litigation assertions all you want, Boneman... The facts don't change. GM sells the most cars -- whether you count it the way all other manufacturers do, or use the actual days in inventory to calculate actual end user sales -- GM sells the most cars. There's no disputing it. GM SELLS THE MOST CARS. You and Wilkow can keep denying it... It just makes you look that much more desperate. |

To sum, once again, the assertion that GMs sales are "to the government" -- DEBUNKED. A lie, if you will... The pitiful grasping at buzzwords like 'channel stuffing' -- DEBUNKED... Inventory is not how the industry measures sales, and, EVEN IF IT DID, GMs inventory stacked against the industry's inventory levels STILL shows GM to be selling the MOST CARS. There's nothing left to argue... |
