I'm a Black conservative who was born in the most liberal state in America, California. I now live in the South. Both of my parents were registered Democrats but they were conservative. They never took anything from the government, my father owned a small successful business after serving in the Navy for nearly 30 years. He bought property and rented them on. He was totally self-sufficient. The way my sibilings and I were raised, you would have thought my parents should have been Republicans. This whole thing of liberals calling someone a racist is eventually going to lose its bite. I grew up in the 70's and the word back then was prejudice. "Oh, that guy is prejudiced!" Years later if you accuse someone of being prejudiced, it's not an insult or will it ruin someone's reputation. When I got to college (I was a liberal then) I used to hear and buy into Black liberals saying, "Blacks can't be racist because we do not have economic or political power but we can be prejudice." Eventually this playing the race card calling everyone who disagrees with Obama or the Dems will lose its affect. So calling someone a racist will evenutally mean the same thing as calling some prejudice. So let them keep throwing this term all over the place! This term is becoming overused. Conservatives should never react when they know their action is not racist. |

The liberals need victims, whether by race, social status, income, sex, sexual orientation. They need victims as a voter base, because liberals are more than happy to empower gov't to "solve" their problems. |

The thing I wish people would understand is that, it really doesn't matter. I don't care who you are, your skin color, your orientation, your nationality, your income, your weight, your gender- It doesn't matter. If your wrong you are wrong. If you are right, you are right. There is no middle; no "Well he's correct but he's a racist so it doesn't matter." None of that. I care if you ARE a racist, that is bad but hey, your wrong, your wrong. Your right, your right. That's the way it is, and mostly I wish people would understand that racism is not a one sided deal; any black person that hates white people is a racist. Vise-versa is true. |

@atl...its unfortunate though that its being thrown around so much that its almost in the "cry wolf" category. Bill Cosby is spot on with his ideas on the issue. |

@protect....my, my, my...what I wouldn't give to hear what Mr. Cosby has to say about the things that are making headlines today. I'm 36 now...I remember listening to his comedy records as a kid. What a brilliant man. I didn't hear funny stories about a black kid or black man's experiences...I heard funny stories about a kid or a young man. I don't ever recall seeing black or white in anyone until I attended high school and encountered racist black & white people. Sadly I found this..... Asked to comment on the Barack Obama movement sweeping the nation, Cosby said the presidential candidate's achievement should serve as a testimony for black youth that education and hard work actually does pay off. "The important thing is people need to show him in the classrooms, show him in the recreation centers, because there's a new player in town," Cosby told Bailey. "He's not dribbling a ball, he's not running the hundred meters, but he's talking and he's using what used to be a mantra, and that is education. "He is someone that we need to use as an example for our children who are thinking about education not being a tool to move ahead in this world. This man can go anyplace he wants to go, with his education, his mind, his dedication, his work ethic. That's what our children need to see, need to believe in. It needs to be taught to them. It's better than making a lot of music, or, what is it, 'get rich or die trying.'" Asked if his comments served as an endorsement of Obama, Cosby refused to answer. "When I walk in the voting booth, that's me," he said. "I got one last thing to do, and it's my business. Even my wife doesn't know where I'm going." "WHITE PEOPLE ELECTED OBAMA" ... That brings up an interesting point...How many times has a white male employer hired a non-white or a woman? One could argue that if a white male was willing to hire an employee and the employee didn't work out and was subsequently terminated, by virtue of the hiring of said employee, there can be no racism in firing said employee. With that being said, there is no self evidence in these claims that dissent is racism. |

Racism, hmmmmm. The folks that showed up in DC didnt like him because of the policies of this regime. For a moment lets look a bit closer. We all know he is half white. So what would be the reaction, if a white man said, " I don't like him beacause he is white, and no self respecting white man would throw his mother and grandmother under the bus because of their color"? |

It seems that the truth about Obama and his true inclinations reside in his many years attendance at Jeremiah Wright's "church" and in his personal friendship with Wright. Wright is a pure unadulterated rascist, a biggot of the first rank. Any white, male or female, who associated with a Klansman or a so-called preacher in one of the Christian Identity "churches" would have been torn to shreds by the media for such association. Obama essentially got a free ride. But Wright is what he is, and you don't attend his church for years, and count him as a good friend, if you don't like the message that Wright preaches. |
