Bill Barr's Declassification Kerfuffle

Last week, President Trump conferred on Attorney General Bill Barr the authority to declassify documents relevant to his inquiry into what we can collectively call "the Russia investigation." This includes not only "Crossfire Hurricane," the counterintelligence probe formally opened by the FBI in late July 2016, but all of the relevant investigative threads, including those pursued by other intelligence agencies - such as the CIA's collaborations with foreign intelligence services, beginning in 2015.

Ex-CIA Officials Fume About Declassification Order, Ignoring Previous Leaks Of Secret Sources And Methods

Former intelligence community officials, including former CIA director John Brennan, have expressed concern over President Donald Trump's declassification order due the potential release of CIA sources and methods."The concern is that very, very precious source and methods of the United States intelligence community as well as our partners and allies abroad - those who share this sensitive information with us," Brennan said on MSNBC on Friday.
