In the past few years, the Pentagon spent $6.8 million to pay for patriotic displays during the games of professional sports teams. That's according to a joint oversight report released by Arizona Republican Sens. John Flake and John McCain on Wednesday.

Democrats wanted a panel of outside experts to investigate the Jan. 6 insurrection. Instead they might have to deal with the Trump wing of the House GOP. Two Republicans, Reps. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) and Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), voted alongside every Democrat.
