Brian Morgenstern serves as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for External Affairs in the Office of Public Affairs. He is a key liaison to the media and business community. He also authors policy communications and coordinates external and intergovernmental engagements for the Treasury Department. He also serves as chief speechwriter to the Secretary and is a counselor and senior advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs.

Mr. Morgenstern developed and executed stakeholder and media engagement strategies for implementing the CARES Act, the largest economic relief legislation in history.
