Growing up in Fresno, California as the daughter of Chinese-Cambodian immigrants, She never understood the power and weight of her voice until she decided to run for Congress. After graduating from Stanford University, where she became the Student Body President, she went on to complete her MBA at Yale University, work for the U.S. Congress, and opened her own business.
