Elkana (Kuno) Cohen was born in Jerusalem and raised in Yeruham as the eldest of seven siblings. His dad is an educator and his mom leads the nursing department at Ben Gurion University. His military journey began in the Shaldag Unit before moving to the Duvdevan Unit, completing his training there and continuing to officers' school. He eventually became a team commander, both in his unit and at the officers' training school.

He is currently studying for a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate and Appraisals and serves as a commando officer in the reserves. During the Israel-Hamas War, he was deployed with the 551st Brigade in Northern Gaza.
