A proud patriot and dedicated public servant, George Moraitis brings a wealth of experience from a distinguished career in the U.S. Navy, private sector and as a former State Representative. Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, George is a graduate of Fort Lauderdale High School, the United States Naval Academy and the University of Florida College of Law.

As a Submarine officer aboard the USS Minneapolis-St. Paul (SSN 708), he honed his leadership skills and qualified as Submarine Warfare officer and Naval Nuclear Propulsion Engineer. After two successful patrols in the North Atlantic, George served as a Submarine Planning and Operations officer with the U.S. Sixth Fleet and Submarine Group 8 in the Mediterranean, contributing to crucial anti-submarine warfare operations and the Kosovo campaign.
