Sholdon Daniels was born and raised in North Texas, where he experienced firsthand the challenges and triumphs of everyday families. Growing up in a single-parent household with his mother and younger sister, Sholdon learned the importance of perseverance and community. His mother, who had him at 19, worked tirelessly to provide for her children. They lived in government housing projects until they were able to move into their first home through the HUD program—a moment that cemented Sholdon’s belief in the power of opportunity and hard work.

These early experiences instilled in him a deep commitment to improving the lives of others. From graduating from the University of Texas at Dallas with a political science degree to earning his law degree at Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Sholdon has carried his North Texas roots and values with him every step of the way.
