William “Burner” Dunn

President of Strategic Resilience Group
William Dunn is the President of Strategic Resilience Group, LLC. He founded the company in Sept 2015 after completing over 33 years in the United States Marine Corps. He enlisted in the USMCR in 1983 and completed boot camp, at Parris Island SC. Remaining in the USMCR for the next 4 years he attained the rank of Sergeant. During this time, he attended Old Dominion University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant via the PLC program in 1988.
He was promoted to Col in Jul 2009. Upon completion of school he was transferred to Offutt AFB for his joint tour. During this tour, he held the billets of Battle Watch Commander, Current Operations Officer, and J-3 of Joint Functional Component Command Global Strike.
After his joint tour, he went on to command Marine Aircraft Group-40 which deployed in 2012 to the Kuwait and Bahrain. Upon return from the deployment he assumed command of the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and in 2014 he completed a 9-month deployment to the Arabian Gulf.
